While most competitors tout the advantages of 2x concentrated laundry detergent, Sunlight's 3x concentrated formula enabled replacement of the traditional 2.95 L bottle with a smaller 946 mL bottle - providing 54% savings in plastic and 51% savings in corrugate. The formula uses 76% less water in the manufacturing process, while still providing a powerful cleaning solution.

The new, smaller bottle still requires a mighty shelf impact. The Sunlight packaging also needs to follow the communication hierarchy of Unilever's world-wide laundry brands like Wisk, All and Persil.

A strong yellow background builds on Sunlight brand equities, while variants are identified by a strong secondary color and matching cap. Bright white burst behind the wordmark draws attention to the Sunlight logo and also conveys “clean.” The 3x formula is communicated consistently in the bottom left corner of each bottle, visually reinforced by the "small = large" bottle icons to the right.
