Production Art

Execution Less

In consumer-oriented packaging, a design is not complete until the final product is on display. Even then, we always look for ways to improve, because consumers need to be convinced to take the brand time and time again.

Our primary objective for production art is to create final artwork that merges design integrity, legal and technical requirements and specific print (or web) specifications, to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the finished product.

Each approved project follows 9 key steps:
  1. Pre-production meeting with the client and end supplier (print/web, if applicable).
  2. Production artwork built from client-approved design concept(s).
  3. Proofreading, fact-checking, legal and technical approvals.
  4. Artwork approval: client review and sign-off.
  5. Delivery to the pre-press or web development company.
  6. Production (managed by Davis if required).
  7. Press/web approval: Final on-press or live web site approvals by client.
  8. Archive files for future retrieval.
  9. In-market observation and refinement.
